Welcome to YWCA Central New Jersey!

Our YWCA actually provides the same services as it did when it was founded back in 1907!

Even then, the YWCA was empowering women and girls by providing them with valuable, marketable skills, such as typing; or providing recreation on par with the type enjoyed by boys and men. The YWCA served as a resource and a refuge for women at the turn of the 20th century, and it continues to do so today.

A member association of YWCA USA, our mission is the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism. We accomplish this through a variety of programs that serve the needs of women and families, focusing on social, economic and personal empowerment. Our programs include career counseling and training, childcare, adolescent and teen programming, health, fitness and recreation, and recognition and networking for business and professional women.

We welcome you to explore the programs, and the opportunities for involvement presented on this website. Women 15 years and older are invited to become sustaining (voting) members of YWCA Central New Jersey. Men are also welcome to become nonvoting associate members.
